Song Club – original song project “Rain”
In Term 3 we reported on the original song being created by Song Club🎶
After writing, refining, rehearsing and finally recording the track during Term 3, the track was mixed, giving us “Rain”🎧🌧️✨

Student feedback on the recording:
🎻🎹“Really like the violins, graceful, could hear them well, a great feature, nice melodies. Feedback on the process: Songwriting process was interesting... I hadn't written music before. The song evolved to how we wanted it to be, not just learning parts of someone else's song. I was able to create more intricate piano parts from the chords...." - Ike Ngo, Entry
🎶🤍💙I have loved song club because I have gotten to experience every part of writing a song, and the progression of how a song comes to be from coming up with the chords to a melody, to lyrics to harmonies and bringing it all together. - Alex Fernandes, FLE2

Suitcase series
In 2025, TC’s Drama Elective classes once again took part in the Malthouse Theatre’s Suitcase Series 🎭✨, an exciting program that culminates with students performing in a professional theatre 🤍💙.
Both classes put on stellar performances for an audience of schools from across the state ⭐👏. They then had the opportunity to watch a professional performance in the afternoon, followed finally by an actor Q&A session 🎤🤍💙 – what a day! 🎉
TC Dance
At TC, our Dance Program is offered as an elective subject, giving students the chance to explore creativity, movement, and performance during school hours. The program caters to a variety of skill levels, from students who have never danced before to those who train regularly, with teachers providing strong foundations in fundamentals as well as progressions for advanced dancers.
Students study Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and HipHop, learning four choreographed routines from our teachers before creating their own small group routines, with hardworking students recognised through solos or duos.
In 2025, our two school performances, "Once Upon a Time" and "Famous", were outstanding successes, and the students thoroughly enjoyed bringing their work to the stage.

TC Art Show & Market
Throughout the year, TC students participating in electives such as media 🎥, art 🎨, graphic design, digital design 💻, jewellery making, the LEGO elective 🧱, and all the creative VCE subjects have been developing their creative thinking skills as well as practical skills. On Monday 17 November, all the students' work was collated beautifully and exhibited in S-Wing, the space transformed into an art gallery.
Alongside the exhibition, students and teachers got together to run TC's market, with some stalls featuring baked goods 🧁, henna art, drinks and other crafts like jewellery and crochet. Buyers helped support charities and the school.
The exhibition featured a stunning array of art pieces, including hand-sculpted ceramics and carefully crafted woodwork pieces like chopping boards and clocks. These creations showcase the talents and creativity of TC’s students, drawing admiration from everyone who attended.
At the back of S-Wing, a pop-up theatre was set up projecting students’ short films, highlighting the depth and variety of artistic talent at TC.
A highlight of the event was Mini Goss’s (TC’s Art Director and Design Teacher) farewell speech. She expressed her deep gratitude to the TC community as she steps into retirement, saying how “wonderful it’s been to work here these past nine years” and help build TC’s art community. Her words resonated with staff and students, marking the end of an era and celebrating her significant contribution
The showcase also included an inspiring address from young artist and TC graduate Miki Flett, who shared her journey and spoke passionately about the importance of community and support for emerging artists. She expressed her belief in the incredible talent at TC and encouraged everyone to pursue their artistic ambitions with confidence.
Throughout the event, attendees were treated to a spread of nibbles and snacks, including TC-baked treats. The refreshments added to the warm atmosphere, giving everyone a chance to mingle and enjoy the evening.
